INTRODUCING!
One of the most UNIQUE portable antennas ever developed! Yet,
it is SO basic...and SO easy to use!
Two wind-up "fishing reel" style antennas
make up this fantastic little gizmo. Each reel contains 40
feet of sturdy, durable, insulated multi-strand wire. This
gives you coverage from 2 through 40 meters! Some folks are
"stacking" the reels (connecting additional YO-YO-TENNA's in a series...)
to get coverage from 80 to 160 meters!
Plugs directly into your transceiver...or...into
your antenna turner for easy, no 'wire length adjustment' operation!
Great for Field Day, camping, vacations, and business trips!
And because of its quick set-up and take-down, it's perfect for
apartments and condos!
Note:
We've had several inquiries asking how much power our YO-YO-TENNA
DELUXE will accept. To be very honest, we've never gone over the
100 watt limit. Why? We just didn't think a lot of people took along
their amps during portable operations! But it is a basic WIRE DIPOLE
antenna. Thus I assume it will accept quite a bit of power.
In other words, we didn't build this solely for QRP'ers. 73,
Bill - WA8MEA
Choose the model that matches your connector
type (same price):
- Model YYTD-259
- The reel's wiring connects to a high quality silver coated PL-259
coax connector. Strain relief for the wires is accomplished
with a length of insulated tubing joined to a PL-259 reducer.
- Model YYTD-RCA
uses an RCA phono plug for connection to your short-wave radio.
This is designed to match the external antenna jack on such models
as the Sangean 803 and the Radio Shack DX-440 and DX-394.
Also can be used with certain older Heathkit transmitters and
receivers.
- Model YYTD-PHN
uses a 1/8" phone plug (earphone size) to connect to your radio's
1/8" phone style external antenna jack. This jack is found
on such models as the Radio Shack DX-390, DX-392, DX-398, &
DX-399. The Sagean 505, 818, 818CS, & 909, the Sony
2010 & 7600, and the Grundig YB-400...to just name a few.
